Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month 2026
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to recognize the skills, talents, and contributions of people with disabilities in the workplace and to promote inclusive employment practices.
The 2026 NDEAM theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” highlights the important contributions people with disabilities make across workplaces, professions, and communities.
For Yale students, NDEAM can also be an opportunity to learn more about disability inclusion as you explore internships, employment, and future career opportunities.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy offers NDEAM resources, including information about this year’s theme, educational materials, posters, social media resources, and ideas for recognizing NDEAM.
