The Teach Access Fellowship Program is a year-long, hands-on professional development program that prepares college and university educators to teach accessibility concepts and skills to their students. Fellows build their accessibility knowledge, explore its relevance to their disciplines, and develop instructional materials for use in their existing courses.
The Fellowship is open to educators based in the United States and Puerto Rico. Fellows who successfully complete the program will receive a $4,000 incentive.
Throughout the Fellowship, participants will:
- Participate in live professional development sessions and hands-on activities focused on accessibility concepts, skills, and teaching strategies.
- Develop at least three connected curricular materials to teach accessibility concepts and skills within an existing course.
- Implement their materials with students and reflect on their experience and student feedback.
- Share their curricular materials through the Teach Access Curriculum Repository, making them available for educators around the world to reuse and adapt.
- Connect and collaborate with a cohort of educators committed to expanding accessibility education.
